AppDirect Bolsters Executive Leadership Team with New Chief Financial Officer

SAN FRANCISCO – April 13, 2021 – AppDirect®, the leading subscription commerce platform company, today announced the appointment of John Cooley as Chief Financial Officer. Cooley is the latest addition to AppDirect’s fast-growing C-suite amid impressive growth momentum.

Cooley has deep experience in the financial, technology, and platform industries. This unique combination makes him ideally suited to serving as CFO at AppDirect. In his new role, he will focus on ensuring AppDirect meets both its short- and long-term objectives while providing expert financial stewardship in the rapidly changing digital economy.

Cooley joins AppDirect from Dataminr, a real-time artificial intelligence platform and one of New York City’s top technology companies, where he served as CFO. He began his career at J.P. Morgan, and prior to Dataminr, he was a founding member of the management team for FX Alliance (FXall), growing the company from startup to the number one institutional currency trading platform to its successful IPO and eventual sale to Thomson Reuters. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Yale University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
